charlie and the chocolate factory review

as promised, here's a review on that morbid movie. major spoilers coming up so if you don't want to know then don't read.

first part, was okay. oh and tim burton added in a LOT of weird morbid stuff. gosh dolls on FIRE?! and willy wonka now has a family problem- like michael jackson. his dad was a dentist who never allowed him to eat sweets or chocolates. poor deprived kid then ran away after tasting his first choc. and set up the choc factory! yup.

oh yes! wonka bears uncanny resemblance to michael jackson. his face is very whitish- like mj. and the whole idea of inviting children into his little playpen. coughcough. quite sick. oh yea and the children who get into trouble in his factory cos of their greed? well they look morbid when they come out. and during the process too. willy wonka seemed glad to have them tortured. and unwilling to try save them. quite weird...very unlike the innocent guy in the book.

hm the oompa loompas are odd. they are all actually ONE guy just that they used special effects and made him look like a billion people. and i still think that the oompa loompa looks like michael jackson's father! hmm.

ahha and the oompa loompas danced to a song after each child had a mishap. pretty soon it got a little monotonous and seemed more like charlie and teh chocolate factory- the movie cum muscial.

oh yes! they had scent-ertainment. we were in the FIRST row (major neckache) and like the thing generating the chocolate smell was right there. so smelly. intoxicated by chocolate scent. clothes smelt of it when i got back as well. ew.

overall, it was an okay movie la. queer... more than anything else. funny at some parts because it seemed quite ridiculously amusing. if you're looking for an accurate interpretation of the book, don't watch it. with tim burton around.. you can't expect anything less than that i suppose.

[pat]* decided to runaway-.
